【摘要】:Thistestmethodisintendedforuseinevaluatingdistillatefuelcleanlinessinthoseapplicationsthatdemandahighthroughputperinstalledfilter.Achangeinfiltrationperformanceafterstorageorpretreatmentcanbeindicativeofchangesinfuelcondition.Causesofpoorfilterabilitymightincludefueldegradationproducts,contaminantspickedupduringstorageortransfer,orinteractionofthefuelwiththefiltermedia.Anyofthesecouldcorrelatewithorificeorfiltersystemplugging,orboth.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedurefordeterminingthefilterpluggingtendency(FPT)ofdistillatefueloilswheretheendusedemandsanexceptionaldegreeofcleanliness.Thistestmethodisapplicabletofuelswithintheviscosityrangeof1.50to6.00mm2/s(cSt)at40176;C.Note1ASTMSpecificationfuelsfallingwithinthescopeofthistestmethodareSpecificationD396GradeNumbers1and2,SpecificationD975Grades1-D,lowsulfur1-D,2-D,andlowsulfur2-D,SpecificationD2880Grades1-GTand2-GTandSpecificationD3699kerosine.1.2Thistestmethodisnotapplicabletofuelsthatarenotclearandbrightbecausewaterinterfereswiththemeasurementoffilterplugging.1.3Relativetendencyoffuelstoplugfiltersmayvarydependingonfilterporosityandstructure,andmaynotalwayscorrelatewithresultsfromthistestmethod.1.4describesastandardprocedureforpreparingatestfluidforuseincalibratingtheapparatususedinthistestmethod.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itisresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstheperformanceofretroreflectivemarkingstobeusedonobjectswornbypedestriansforthepurposeofenhancedconspicuity.Itaddressesconspicuityfromviewpointsaroundtheentireobject,anditallowsforfreedomofdesignofthemarkingssolongastheminimumrequirementsareachieved.Objectsincludebutarenotlimitedtojackets,shirts,vests,trousers,socks,backpacks,hats,andfootwear.Anadjustmentforthebrightness/luminanceratioasafunctionofcolorisalsomade.1.2Thisspecificationappliesonlytonighttimeviewingconditionsinwhichtheobserverispositionednearasourceofillumination.Themostcommonexampleisthatofamotorvehicleoperatorseeingbymeansofthelightfromtheheadlampsofthevehicle.1.3Thisspecificationdescribestheminimumretroreflectiveperformancerequiredforareasonablelevelofnighttimeconspicuity.Itdoesnotaddresspotentiallydiminishedperformanceofretroreflectivemarkingsthatmaybeexperiencedwithgeneralstorage,use,wear,andcare.1.4SI(metric)unitsshallbeusedinrefereedecisionsunderthisspecification.1.5Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainstospecifyingmaterialsbythisstandardspecification.Althoughthemarkingsdescribedinthisspecificationareintendedtosignificantlyenhancesafetythroughincreasedconspicuityundermostconditionsofilluminationandviewingofthetypedescribedin1.2above,theydonotguaranteesignificantlyenhancedconspicuityunderallsuchconditions.Individualsexposedtoadverseweatherconditionsorassociatedwithhighlevelsofvehicularorhazardsexposuremayrequireothertypesoramountsofretroreflectivemarkings.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
